    What is Operation Eternal Gratitude?

Operation Eternal Gratitude (OEG) is a student-led military support club at both CB East and CB South High Schools.  OEG originated at CB East High School in 2001 to support the families of the people who were lost on the tragic day.   Soon after, it converted to a military support club.  In 2005, when CB South opened, we adopted the South chapter of this club.  Our goal is to send care packages to military personnel serving overseas. South OEG has engaged in many service related assignments, including sending care packages, curating the CB South wall of honor and running our annual Veterans Day ceremony.

We will always support our servicemen and women because we are eternally grateful.

A Student's View of CB South OEG

Operation Eternal Gratitude is one of the most meaningful and rewarding organizations that students can get involved in. Many teenagers want to give back to our service members stationed overseas and express their appreciation but do not know how to do so. OEG is the solution because it provides everyone with an opportunity to contribute to its mission of making a difference in the lives of those who protect us and our freedom. Involvement in OEG takes many different forms: donating items, participating in fundraisers, building boxes, and much more. There is no required time commitment to be a part of OEG--a student can engage in the organization as much as they are able and take on as large a role as they want. You get out of it what you put into it! It is truly incredible to witness the impact that this organization has on the community and our brave service members across the world. There is no greater avenue for students to express their eternal gratitude for our military than OEG!

    What is Happening with OEG?

The OEG record for total weight of boxes sent to service members is 11337lbs, which is a little more than 5 1/2 tons during the 18-19 school year.  This school year we have collected 5667 lbs. and are currently collecting items for another shipment.

We are NOT done yet.  Continue to bring in donations and let's try and break that record.

Thank you for the annual generous donations every year to ship items overseas.  We are looking forward to continuing this close relationship.
