    Ms. Fran McKeown, Access Partner from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (), reviewed topics including higher education costs, the types of Financial Aid available, and how to apply for Financial Aid (using FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

    Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) has a wealth of resources, videos and downloads to assist students and their families in navigating the financial aid process, and teaching families about Pennsylvania-specific student aid programs.

    Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    This is the free application which all students must complete and file in order to be considered for any federal, state, or institutional aid.  While paper forms are available, the online application is preferred.  Students planning to matriculate in college in the fall can begin to fill out/submit their FAFSA starting in December 2023 (previously October).     CSS/Profile 

    The PROFILE is the financial aid application service of the College Board. Many of the member colleges, universities, graduate and professional schools, and scholarship programs use the information collected on PROFILE to help them award non-federal student aid funds.  Visit www.collegeboard.com for more information, a list of participating colleges and universities, and important deadlines.
