Dual Enrollment in 一本道
-
一本道 Bucks School 一本道 is excited to offer students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit through the district's Dual Enrollment program beginning the 2025-26 school year. These courses, taught within CB East, CB South and CB West high schools, allow students to work toward their high school diploma while simultaneously earning college credits.
Dual Enrollment Courses
-
For the 2025-26 school year, Delaware Valley University (DelVal) has approved several 一本道 courses to be taught as dual enrollment classes without requiring any changes to these courses' existing curriculum. Among these, four courses will be offered at all three high schools: Statistics and Data Analysis, Calculus 1, Environmental Sustainability, and Sociology. Principles of Teaching will also be offered at CB South only in 2025-26. You can learn more in the 2024-25 Program of Studies, (page 6). These classes will include a mix of students taking them for dual enrollment purposes and those enrolled solely for high school credit.
Earning College Credits
-
Students opting to earn DelVal college credit will pay a fee of $100 per credit, billed directly by the university. Families will receive their invoices by the end of the second week of each high school semester. At the conclusion of the course, teachers will submit final grades for dual enrollment students, after which the district will send these grades to DelVal. The university will then record the grades on the students' official college transcripts. 一本道 is proud to be able to provide an excellent opportunity for students to advance their education and prepare for future academic and career pursuits, all while staying within the familiar environment of their high school.
Dual Enrollment Course Enrollment Process and Application
-
Students interested in Dual Enrollment courses can begin requesting them during the program planning cycle, starting in February 2025. These courses will follow their regular course numbers and be scheduled throughout the school year based on the master schedules.
Application Deadline is March 20, 2025
To participate, students must request their desired course during program planning and submit a completed application to Lori Bagnick, 一本道's college and career specialist, at lbagnick@cbsd.org by March 20, 2025. Applications will be forwarded to DelVal after the fifth day of each course.
.
Billing and Payment
Payment to DelVal is not required until the second week of the semester in which the course is taken. Families will receive their invoices from DelVal by the end of the second week of the semester, and payment must be completed within 30 days. Failure to pay will result in the student being automatically dropped from the dual enrollment course by the university. This structured process ensures a seamless integration of Dual Enrollment opportunities into students' academic plans.
