Dear Bridge Valley Second Grade Trailblazers and Families,

 

Hello and welcome to second grade at Bridge Valley Elementary School! My name is Mrs. Rice and I will be your teacher this year! I am very excited to have you as my student and can’t wait to get to know you!

 

This is going to be an amazing and exciting school year! We will be enjoying and studying many fascinating units in second grade. Some of those units include Sound, Rocks & Minerals, Geography, and Economics! We will also be building on our reading, writing, and math skills and knowledge. As you prepare for the new school year, keep practicing your addition and subtraction facts.

 

一本道 Bucks provides the supplies essential for learning; however, some students like to bring supplies to school. Click the link to access our grade level supply list or see below. Click here. Please label and bring your supplies with you on the first day of school. Our classroom could also use a few items to keep us tidy and healthy each day. If you are willing to donate any of the following, it would be greatly appreciated: wipes and tissues.

 

I am very excited for the first day of school on Monday, August 29th and look forward to being your teacher! Enjoy your summer vacation and welcome to second grade!

 

Important Dates: 

Open House:  This would be a great time for us to meet and for you to drop off your supplies.  Classroom #138. 

First Day of School: Monday, August 29th .  

Back to School Night: Wednesday, September 7th @6:15 in room 138.

Two vinyl 2-pocket folders (no prongs)

Three 2-pocket folders (1 orange, 1 green, and 1 yellow)

One pencil case

Two marble composition books
