Ryan Manion

Ryan Manion attended Holicong Middle School and graduated from CB East High School in 1998. She played lacrosse at Cabrini College and graduated in 2004. Ryan has dedicated her life to supporting our nation's military, veterans, and families of fallen heroes. She is inspired by the character, leadership and sacrifice of her brother 1st Lt. Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Al Anbar province of Iraq while drawing fire away from his wounded comrades on April 29, 2007. Now the president of Travis Manion Foundation, one of the nation's leading veteran service organizations, she works to empower veterans and families of fallen heroes to inspire future generations to be change makers in their communities. Ryan played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Afghan families during the collapse of Afghanistan, and led the efforts that inspired our community to help several families transition to life in the United States. She is the co-author of The Knock at the Door, host of The Resilient Life Podcast and is an elected official serving as Township Supervisor in Doylestown Township. Ryan currently resides in Doylestown with her husband Dave, and children Maggie, Honor and Travis.

Corinne Transue Sikora

Corinne Transue Sikora was a student at Holicong from 1982-1985, and she graduated from C.B. East in 1988. She started her teaching career in New Jersey but soon returned to her home base: Holicong. Although Corinne was hired as a math teacher, eventually, she focused on special education. Corinne was beloved by her learning-support students because she gave them the tools they needed to succeed. Corinne went on to work at the administration building. First, she joined the staff development team. Later, she transitioned into special services. Corinne wore many hats but think of it this way—when students throughout the ENTIRE district needed her most, she was there. At the administration level, she affected every student, teacher, and administrator in positive ways! She worked with the nursing staff, oversaw our growing diversity programs, and identified families in need of special services. If Corinne could help, she showed up. She had a favorite saying that she lived by: “Many small people, in small places, doing small things can change the world.”

In November 2021, Corinne passed away after battling cancer. Although she is gone, her legacy is strong. Her close friend and co-worker, Dr. Alyssa Walloff, raised enough financial and community support to fulfill a vision Corinne had at the end of her illness. The Corinne Sikora Wellness & Support Center is a comforting space for all cancer patients across Bucks County. The Center is a place where they can have their non-medical --yet critical-- emotional, social, physical, and lifestyle needs met throughout their journey of treatment, recovery and beyond. Corinne is missed but her legacy remains one of knowledge, compassion, and hope.

Scott Stankavage

Scott Stankavage is a 1977 graduate of Holicong Junior HS, where he excelled and led teams to championships in football, basketball, and baseball.  Scott went on the become an All-American football and basketball player at C B East High School while leading teams to championships his senior year in 1980.  Scott is in the C B East Hall of Fame and has his #14 jersey retired.  Scott accepted a scholarship to play quarterback at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill where he played on an ACC championship team and went on to set several school passing records during his 4 year career. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 1984, Scott spent 3 seasons as a backup quarterback  in the NFL with the Denver Broncos, behind Hall of Famer John Elway and then with the Miami Dolphins.  After retiring from football, Scott enjoyed a successful 30-year career in commercial real estate, building several successful brokerage and management companies.

Scott has 7 children ranging in age from mid-30’s to pre-teens and lives in Durham, North Carolina with his wife, Kate, while enjoying retirement and his family including several grandchildren.  In 2013, Scott was diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of leukemia, which he will battle for the rest of his life.  In 2016, Scott authored, THE QB MENTOR, an inspirational story about his relationship with his teenage son who overcame tremendous life challenges to become a star high school and college quarterback.  In 2020, Scott authored a children’s book, GOD ALWAYS HAS A PLAN, that commemorates the challenging birth journey of his triplets.  Scott is a frequent inspirational speaker to schools, athletic teams, churches and civic organizations.  1stLt. Travis L. Manion, USMC

Travis Joseph Lemma Manion was born Nov. 19, 1980 in Camp Lejeune, NC, to an active duty Marine family. After settling in Doylestown, PA, Travis went on to LaSalle College High School where his strong leadership qualities set him apart both athletically and academically. He was an all-league standout in wrestling, football and lacrosse, a member of five championship teams, and an All-American wrestler.  Travis was best known as a motivating and popular figure to his classmates. It was for these traits that Travis was awarded the Hal Selvey, Jr. Memorial Award for Unselfish Dedication and Leadership. This combination of leadership, athleticism, and academic achievement opened the door to his appointment to the United States Naval Academy.

Upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy, he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and was awarded a commission into the United States Marine Corps. After finishing at the top of his class at The Basic School in Quantico, VA, Travis was assigned to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif with whom he deployed to Iraq for his first tour of duty.

In 2006, Travis was selected, as an experienced Iraq War veteran from 1st Recon Battalion, to become a part of a military transition team (MiTT) with 10 other Marines that would train and partner with an Iraqi Army Battalion in Fallujah, Iraq.

On April 29, 2007, 1st Lt. Travis Manion, his fellow Marines and Iraqi Army counterparts were ambushed while searching a suspected insurgent house in the Al Anbar province of Iraq. Leading the counterattack against the enemy forces, Travis was fatally wounded by an enemy sniper while aiding and drawing fire away from his wounded teammates.

Travis Manion made the ultimate sacrifice that day. His selfless actions allowed every member of his patrol to survive.

For his actions, Travis was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star with Valor. His legacy continues to grow through the work of TMF, inspiring people to live with character and make an impact by serving others.

Ifeoma Aduba

Ms. Aduba attended Holicong from 1985-1988, and graduated from 一本道 Bucks East in 1991.  She earned her B.A. in Politics, with a focus in community development at Mount Holyoke College.  In Los Angeles she worked with the I Have a Dream Foundation and the Liberty Hill Foundation.  Returning to Bucks County, she worked as a major gifts officer with Pennsylvania Hospital and then became the Executvie Director at A Woman's Place, Bucks County's only domestic voilence organization.  Currently she is at Harbor Compliance, serving as a Nonprofit Compliance Specialist supporting organizations around the globe.  She serves as President of the Board of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO), President of the Administrative Ministries Team at Doylestown United Methodist Church, and Board member for the Bucks County Women's Advocacy Coalition.  She is also a member of the Doylestown Branch of the American Association of University Women and Doylestown Rotary.  While Attending Holicong, Ify decided that she wanted to make a difference in the world, and she has.

James L. Carey, MD, MPH

James L. Carey, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is also the Director of the Penn Center for Advanced Cartilage Repair and Osteochondritis Dissecans Treatment.Dr. Carey attended Holicong from 1986 to 1989.  He graduated from 一本道 Bucks High School East in 1992.  Dr. Carey majored in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Duke University.  He attended the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine and then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  He completed a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and he graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health.  Dr. Carey served as a Team Physician for Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, the Nashville Sounds Minor League Baseball Team, and the Nashville Predators National League Hockey team.  After returning to Philadelphia in 2011, he served as Team Orthopedic Surgeon for the Philadelphia 76ers for one season.  Now, he serves as a Team Physician for the University of Pennsylvania.
