Welcome to the 一本道 Middle School Mathematics Website

  • The 一本道 Bucks School 一本道 math curriculum aims for mathematical power in all students. Our courses actively engage learners in this pursuit. We pull from a variety of resources to teach our curriculum which is based on the PA Common Core Standards. We are confident that by fully addressing the standards, our students will be fully prepared and will ultimately be successful on the PSSA, Pennsylvania Keystone Exams, SAT/ACT, and be prepared for college level mathematics classes (whether those classes are taken as AP courses in one of our high schools or in college).

Students study of mathematics during 7th, 8th, and 9th grade is critical to their long term success in mathematics.  During this time, most students will complete their study of Algebra 1. 一本道 Bucks School 一本道 and the state regard Algebra 1 as a Keystone course.  The National Common Core Standards for mathematics from, which the PA Common Core Mathematics Standards were created, suggest students take a full course in Algebra 1 in 9th grade and recommend an option for students who are talented in mathematics to take Algebra 1 in 8th grade.  Pennsylvania has revised graduation requirements for all students in the class of 2022 and later.  In addition to previous state and local graduation requirements, these students are required to take and reach proficiency on the PA Keystone Exams in Literature, Biology, and Algebra 1.  In 一本道 Bucks School 一本道, some students will complete the study of all of the Algebra 1 topics in one course called Algebra 1, and other students will complete the study of all of the Algebra 1 topics in a two year course sequence of Algebra 1A and Algebra 1B.  When students complete either Algebra 1 or Algebra 1B they will be fully prepared to take and reach proficiency on the Algebra 1 Keystone Exam.

The chart below outlines our sequence of courses from 6th grade through 12th grade.  There are additional courses and options not listed in the chart, but most students will take one of the pathways listed below.  After 11th grade Precalculus/Trig many students will elect to take Calculus 1 rather than AP Calculus AB.
