The State of Pennsylvania mandates the following health screenings for students:

• Vision - All students are tested annually for near and far vision.  A referral notification will be mailed      home if your child did not pass the vision screening.
• Hearing - All 7th grade students and students with an IEP will have their hearing checked annually.
• Height/Weight/BMI - All students are measured, weighed, and have their body mass index calculated each year.  This information is available on the parent portal.
• Scoliosis - All 7th grade students will be screened for scoliosis. A referral notification will be mailed home if your child does not pass the scoliosis screening.
  

** If a parent wishes to defer their child from any screening, a written note is required ** Please send an email to calff@cbsd.org or a written note requesting not to screen your child.
